ACE Resonance is different — and the difference is structural, not just musical.
We run every session like a therapist runs a group — with a specific arc, resident participation built in, and a written record at the end. We're a duo:
live voice, piano and harmonica paired with live percussion. That combination matters more than it might seem. Live percussion — a cajon, hand drum, or shakers — means residents who can no longer sing or speak can still participate physically, clapping or tapping along in time. That's not entertainment. That's inclusion. And for residents with advanced dementia, physical participation often outlasts verbal engagement by years.
We learn your residents' musical histories before the session. We build the song list around their era. We prompt conversation, not just listening. And we hand you a one-page Resident Response Record every single time —documenting who engaged, what songs triggered strongest reactions, and any observable mood changes. Exactly what a CQC inspector wants to see under meaningful activity evidence.
For Christmas, summer events, and special family occasions, our full family trio — adding our young violinist and pianist son — is available as a premium event booking that residents and their visiting families will talk about for months.
