From a quiet room to an encore! 🎤🎶 Last Thursday, we ran a session that started softly and ended with the whole room singing together. It was amazing to watch the room transform throughout the morning: ✨ Quiet listening turning into gentle sways ✨ Loud, full-hearted singalongs to classic hits ✨ Incredible focus and energy during our percussion set! 🥁 Ending on an encore request for "We’ll Meet Again" was the absolute cherry on top. We had such a warm morning at Rowden House - Somerset Care last week. From Take Me Home, Country Roads to Roll Out the Barrel and some wartime favourites, there was a real mix of eras — and some wonderful stories came out along the way. One of the things we love most about these sessions is hearing the memories a song can bring back, sometimes from residents who don't say much the rest of the day. Music has a wonderful way of bringing people together. The session early this week in Frome was filled with moments that reminded us just how much joy a shared song can bring. 💛 During ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’, the room burst into pure warmth, laughter, and rhythm! One spirited dancer couldn't resist standing up to show off some moves, and later shared wonderful stories of her cha-cha days. 💃✨ From the quiet, gentle sway of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ to a heartwarming, room-wide singalong of ‘We’ll Meet Again’, watching those big, radiant smiles light up the room made the entire morning so special. Last week we had the absolute privilege of spending our afternoon connecting across generations through music at Somer Valley House. 🎶✨ From singing along to classic favourites to sharing tears, smiles, and quiet moments of connection, the energy in the room was truly magic.
